Georgi Lekov, a senior CS major, represented UR by presenting some of his work from the past couple of semesters at the RVA Makerfest last weekend. Georgi has been working on Kilobots, implementing group behavior, with goal of conducting controlled experiments of group dynamics (with Don Forsyth from the Jepson School).

Erin Brady, who graduated from UR in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics & computer science, is now Assistant Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Greg Morrisett, who graduated from UR in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics & computer science, is now the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Science at Cornell University.
Marie Fernandez, Erica Fitchett, Ling Qiu, and Amy Shick attended CAPWIC at JMU in February, 2015. Amy was awarded first prize for undergraduate poster presentations and received a $1,000 scholarship to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in Computing this fall.
Computer science majors Erin Gibbons, Alexandra Badiceanu, Catalina Cumpanasoiu, and Marie Fernandez recently attended the 2014 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing in Phoenix in October with Dr. Lewis Barnett, faculty. Gibbons won a GHC Scholarship Grant to attend the event.
Computer science majors Andy Choi, Omar Farooq, Pardeep Banwait, and Alexandru Pana teamed up to win the Royal & Company challenge at the RamHacks hackathon at VCU, earning a $1,000 award.
